Not EnoughAlthough we all worked at the same store, they were more friends with him than with me. The other night after work he texted me, asking if I wanted to go over his friend's place to hang out.Not Enough
Obligated, I said yes just to make him happy. He deserved to be happy,
and I was willing to sacrifice what I would rather want for his happiness.
It was the best I could do for now.
We arrived to his friend's place and everyone was already drinking.
I thought we were just hanging out. Since when did everyone started drinking all of a sudden? This didn't happen the last few time

Men and WomenA flimsy man, ridiculous and stupid. She and I sat in the sun, she shaded her eyes against the brightness and so I wouldn't see her tears, but they strangled her voice. It cracked. She handed me my uncertain fate, in a little glass dish with a little glass lid, all bottled and carefully handled. We were composed. We are adults, the two of us. We know the ways of the world; we know these things. We do not fight or cry. This is only the fate of women. He wants to leave, she said, and I knew that. The pristine white of the open pages of her book, sitting on her lap, blinded me, and I squinted, looking away. "I'm talking to himMen and Women

So many short lived momentsIn a world ravaged by war and disease only a few strong hearts stand steadfast, Like the proud lion, and graceful feather they ascend upon battle as they must, Turmoil, loss, sadness and death are but symptoms to their lives, Yet love still touches their arms and smiling faces, beauty and togetherness unites, War took their families, magic opened their eyes, and mysticism stole their dreams, Yet they wage on, to protect purpose, self, and loveSo many short lived moments
Even a strong warrior depends,
Even a beautiful woman cries, Even a dying man smiles, First loves written into stories and sagas, Writ

This Life's LessonsSometimes we must remember But we always should forgive We don't really begin living Till we question what life is. Sometimes the truth and lies Are reverse what people say And we are the most at peace When we stop getting our wayThis Life's Lessons
We can't understand this all Yet we feel we must try We feel with our spirits Yet seek logic with our eyes These pages tell a story But that's not all that it is But some so called facts stop many From even noting this
We love a steady beat As the music of our lives Yet with dream of great advent

RequiemLife needs to be allowed to run its course. Whatever that course may be. Live your life for yourself, and not for others. Never do something for the simple reason that it will make ‘them’ happy. Never try to alter the natural flow your life is taking. You will know the course intended for you early in life. Pay attention. You are meant to go in that direction, and there could be dire consequences should you attempt to alter the natural direction of things. Would you rather love or be loved? Both? Neither? It isRequiem

Selfish AngelsInherently evil, we leave black dust on clean things just because we can. To be worldly and wise is our intended disguise, while feigned innocence is a tool which we all use too well to create illusions to do what we will in this masqueraded game we play. Clarity is prevalent but not utilized as we can't see through our own smog despite surgically corrected twenty-twenty vision. We rename our desires with brighter pseudonyms to hide all that's inside because, in the end, we don't really want to become acquainted with our slimy, selfish, motives anyway.Selfish Angels

TrustSo I've been thinking about trust and here's what I've come up with.Trust
Trust is, in essence, based on approval.
The amount of trust you have in someone is equal to the level of approval felt towards the expected outcome of a situation or just the expected behavior in general. When one does something this is greatly approved of, it heightens the expecations you have for that persons average behavior. However, when one performs in a fashion that is greatly disapproved of or looked down upon, the expectations become lowered assuming it was not already expected, and even sometimes then.
